Two-car crash injures 5 on state Route 507

Five people were injured in a collision on state Route 507 Monday afternoon.

According to a State Patrol report, a 2003 Toyota Camry driven by Kara M. Gower, 20, of McMinnville crossed the center line at 3:30 p.m. approaching Military Road, striking a 2001 Honda Civic driven by Laurie J. Bischof, 48, of Spanaway.

Bischof and three passengers in her vehicle received minor injuries and were taken to Providence St. Peter Hospital.

Gower was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

Both cars were totaled.

Charges are pending, according to the report, which also states that drugs and alcohol were not a factor.
