Kasey Fejeran: Proud of her DOL internship

Age: 17

Grade: 12

School: River Ridge High School

Hometown: Olympia

Parents: William T. and Tiana M. Fejeran

Best personal achievement: My personal achievement was receiving an interview by the Department of Licensing: Dealer Investigations division for the position of assistant high school intern, which was only one spot. Being offered the position was a great achievement because it was my first interview and my first job.

How I spend my time: Going to school to finish off my last few months of my senior year. Then I go to work. When I come home I usually spend time with my family helping them out before I decide to have some personal time playing volleyball or spending time with my friends and significant other.

Favorite subject: Career choices

Favorite movie: "Iron Man"

Favorite book: "The Twilight" series, by Stephenie Meyer

Dream job: Business executive

Someone I respect: My father and mother. I always try to make them happy and proud of me.

College I'd like to attend: Pacific Lutheran University after community college

Someone famous I'd like to meet: Famous people meet me. Ha ha.

Someday, looking back on my life I'd like to be able to say: I never regretted one minute of it.

Biggest challenge facing teenagers today: They don't take advantage of the opportunities that are out there. They would rather have things handed to them.

One thing in the world I would change if I could: Make puppy mills illegal!

Where do you see yourself in 10 years: Probably extending my enlistment contract in the Army or opening up a nightclub.

Teacher comment: "Kasey is one of those rare students who brings a sense of calm and peace into the classroom. She consistently does high-quality work both in class and at work. Her inspiration is contagious." — G. C. Hollingbery, career choices
