So I'm over at Providence St. Peter Hospital talking to Dr. Bruce Silverman about the merits of actual colonoscopy versus virtual colonoscopy, and he mentions he's taken more than 10,000 tours of the lower tract, looking for precancerous growth.
"People ask me, do you get bored? And I say, I like fishing, and this is like fishing," Silverman says. "Just as there are no two rivers the same, there are no two people who are the same. There are no two colons that are the same. … I love my work."
