Power has been restored to about 12,500 customers under the administration of the Mason County Public Utility District No. 3, a press release said.

About 2,000 customers, the majority of them in the Lake Cushman area west of Hoodsport, remain without power.

Access to Lake Cushman has been hindered by flooding of the Skokomish River.

Scattered outages remain in various parts of Mason County, mostly caused by debris and fallen trees. Areas that were without power this morning include:

• Agate (scattered outages)

• Lake Cushman

• Lakes area on the Tahuya Peninsula

• Matlock area

• North Shore Road

• Satsop/Cloquallum Road/Schafer State Park area

• Star Lake/Cloquallum

• Binns Swiger Loop

Operators are available to answer questions about outages. In the Shelton area, call 360-426-8255. In Belfair, call 360-275-2833. In Elma, call 360-612-5775.
