Fire destroys home with a view in Thurston

A blaze destroyed a home with views of Puget Sound this afternoon in Thurston County.

Fire crews kept the blaze from spreading to nearby houses.

Neighbor Charles McClure said the 2,500-square-foot house is located at 5538 Crestview Loop N.E.

Two people were renting the home. Neither was home at the time the fire started.

McClure said he thinks a small propane tank exploded, fueling the fire even more.
