I'm interested in hearing from readers -- whether it's a weird bird flying around their backyard to the big fish that broke them off over the weekend to skiing down a favorite run. callen@theolympian.com.
The Washington Fish and Wildlife Commission will consider imposing a $10 penalty for sport crab fishers who fail to comply with catch-reporting requirments during its Sept. 5-6 meeting in Olympia.
Isn't is amazing how the Commission can come up with proposals that make money for the department, but can't come up with ideas how to prevent the closure of state fish hatcheries, give 70-year-old state residents free fishing and hunting licenses or help veterans with reduced license and hunting fees?
