After 44 years, Lydia Hawk teacher leaves for new career

Kindergarten graduation happens only once, and Lydia Hawk Elementary School teacher Marilyn Rottle likes to make it a big deal for families. The June 11 event was a chance for Rottle, 68, to say goodbye too.

Student Spotlight: Tim M. Wansing

Nominated by: Linda Sohlberg, a volunteer with AFS-USA (a study abroad program). She wrote, Tim is a recipient of the Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange merit-based scholarship that is offered in partnership with the U.S. Congress and the German Bundestag (the German equivalent of our Congress). He has spent the academic year attending Tumwater High School as an AFS exchange student.
