Rotary gives scholarships to 8 N. Thurston students

The Lacey Rotary Club Foundation gave eight North Thurston Public Schools students college scholarships last month. The scholarships were based on academics and activities with a special focus on community service.

The students are Madhura Panjini, Timberline High School, Charles and Helen Miller, $2,500 per year, four-year renewable Service Above Self Scholarship; Blake Geyen, River Ridge High School, Charles and Helen Miller $2,500 per year, four-year renewable Service Above Self Scholarship; Taylor Miller, North Thurston High School, John MacGugan Interact $1,500 per year, four-year renewable Service Above Self Scholarship; Matthew Hubbard, Timberline High School, $1,500 per year four-year renewable Service Above Self Scholarship; Anna Grzankowski, River Ridge High School, $1,500 one-year Service Above Self Scholarship; Tony Nguyen, Timberline High School, Rod Reining $1,500 one-year Service Above Self Scholarship; Jordan Malizio, South Sound High School, $1,500, one-year Vocational-Technical Scholarship; and Luke Bullinger, Timberline High School, $1,500, one-year Vocational-Technical Scholarship.
