Evergreen State College to host Roll Call Memorial on Wednesday

The names of nearly 250 U.S. service members who have died the past year as part of the Global War on Terror will be read during the Roll Call Memorial beginning at noon Wednesday in Red Square at The Evergreen State College, 2700 Evergreen Parkway N.W., Olympia.

Everyone in attendance will be invited to read the names during the event which is being organized by The Veterans of Evergreen Transition and Success Team.

“The Evergreen State College is proud to provide this opportunity for the community to recognize the fallen service members and contemplate the profound sacrifices that military families and communities throughout the nation are continuing to make,” VETS member Paul Gallegos said in a news release.
