OLYMPIA – Thurston County Progressive Network plans its free “Town Hall Picnic” and candidate forum on July 12 in Olympia.

The annual potluck event runs from at 3:30 to 8 p.m. at 3516 Pifer Road S.E., just off North Street, in Olympia. Candidates for Thurston County commissioner, Port of Olympia commissioner, Tumwater mayor, and the Olympia and Tumwater city councils are invited, according to organizer Sherri Goulet.

The one-hour forum begins at 5:30 p.m. Environmental workshops come after that.

For details, call or email to sherri@tcpronet.org. Salmon, chicken and drinks are provided, but potluck dishes are requested. Last year’s event drew 150 people to Goulet’s backyard.
