Storm Reid says despite being plucked out of near-obscurity to play the teenage heroine Meg Murry in the big screen adaptation of "A Wrinkle in Time," she's still just a normal teenager.
The 14-year-old Atlanta native has been acting since she was three and has appeared in bit roles in films like "12 Years a Slave" and television shows like "NCIS: Los Angles."
Reid says she's still just a normal teenager though even after acting alongside Oprah Winfrey, Reese Witherspoon and Mindy Kaling.
She says she thinks she'll get recognized more after the film hits theaters Friday but that she is still the same person.
Never miss a local story.
"Wrinkle" director Ava DuVernay says Reid was in early auditions, and she judged other candidates based on her performance.
