Finer Future, a nonprofit organization started by Rogers High School student Conor Collins, has already awarded its first scholarship and is working to raise money for its student activities and tutoring initiative.
A Finer Future workout fundraiser is scheduled for 8 a.m. Saturday at the Northwest Sports Center, 239 W. Stewart Ave, Puyallup. The workout will be run by Puyallup personal trainer Shawn Bell.
Refreshments will be served after the workout, about 9:30 a.m.
With help from friends and teachers, Collins started Finer Future to motivate students and encourage them to engage with peers. The program awarded a $500 scholarship.
