The other day I was talking to a friend about her pet and the neck pain it seemed to be suffering, she took her pet to the Veterinarian, who presented her with two options - one was surgery or an alternative treatment - acupuncture.
She chose the latter option which was more economical with less recovery time. After the first treatment, miraculously her pet could now move normally right after this procedure.
I was fascinated by this story and delighted that the treatment worked. After further research on the web, I found this traditional Chinese medical treatment has gained popularity in Washington and is offered for dogs & cats as well as horses.
If you would like to share your pet's medical experiences with us, you may post this inside our commenting box. We are eager to hear from you!

During these times of economic stress we may even look to our Pets for financial solutions: Pet Sitting, Pet Hotels, Mobile Grooming, Pet Massage Services, Dog walking & even a Pooper Scooper business on the side are all ideas that could be plausible ways to make extra funds as wage/hour cuts at many business work places across the nation become common.
The cold is a major threat to pets and owners alike: Out door pets should be brought in at night into a closed off laundry room or semi-heated garage if possible… or heated shelter with some old blankets and water/food provided for comfort. If bad weather continues they may have to be kept there until weather conditions abate. Remember to let them out in am and pm & create a litter or newspaper corner opportunities if they are shut in for a number of days.
Perhaps you may scale back on holiday gifts this year, but there are thrifty & wise ways to remember your pet; give your pet the gift of health, wise food choices instead of relying store bought, save healthy meat scraps and create a home-made stew, check their teeth, breath and eye clarity at home throughout the year.
