Looking for an opportunity to learn more about wine or taste something new? Here are South Sound wine-tasting events:

Local

Labor Day Weekend Celebration at Walter Dacon Wines: Noon to 6 p.m. Aug. 30-Sept. 1, 50 Skookum Inlet Road S.E., Shelton. Enjoy live music, a dinner of fresh steamer clams or chicken, french bread, fruit kabobs and wine. $10 per person. Call 360-426-5913.

Wines From Around The World: From 3 to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays at Dockside Bistro & Wine Bar, 501 Columbia St. N.E., Olympia. Explore various wines from around the world with certified sommelier Alicia Lee. Cost of $25 per person includes a flight of three wines and an appetizer.
