 Arts & Nature Family Workshop: 9:30 a.m. to 12:20 p.m. Jan. 24, Woodland Park Zoo, 5500 Phinney Ave. N., Seattle. Children and parents will explore the African continent through various activities designed for families to do together. The workshop is recommended for ages 5-8 with adults. $45 for one adult and one child; $10 for each additional child; additional parent admitted free. Registration is required by Jan. 16. • Father-Daughter Dance: 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Jan. 31 and again on Feb. 7, Capital High School, 2707 Conger St. N.W., Olympia. This year's theme is "A Night in the Tropics." Girls ages 3 and older and their father (or father-figures) can enjoy dancing, hot fudge sundaes and entertainment by multi-cultural dancers.
