Name: Julie Davis.
Age:
39.City: Lacey.
Volunteer’s activities include: Davis volunteers at Seven Oaks Elementary School in Lacey. She also is a Cub Scout Leader and volunteers at her church. She enjoys singing, waterskiing and cooking.
This volunteer is special because: “Every school needs someone that works their volunteer position with energy and dedication. That is what we have with Julie Davis at Seven Oaks Elementary. This is Julie’s second year as PTA president. Before that she served as vice president for two years and has volunteered regularly since her oldest began attending Seven Oaks. Julie has been in charge of numerous events at the school, raising money and gathering volunteers, organizing events – all to benefit the students and staff. We appreciate Julie and the countless hours she spends organizing, collecting, updating, planning. Thank you and hats off to Julie Davis!” said Teresa Scott, Seven Oaks volunteer coordinator.
Volunteering is important to this volunteer because: “You get to know the students and the teachers that your children will have. It is important to have that kind of relationship so that you can get to know what they are learning and be able to help them at home. Teachers love it when you are in the classroom!” Davis said.
Davis will receive a plaque from the Volunteer Center and KGY Radio, courtesy of Deer Creek Awards, a division of Color Graphics.
