And songs about all of those – plus politics, social consciousness and love – are a part of Harlequin Productions’ “Sixties Chicks.” And audiences have definitely enjoyed looking back; the show has been so popular that its run was extended by two weeks. This weekend, though, is the show’s last. Remaining performances are at 8 p.m. Thursday-Saturday at the State Theater, 202 Fourth Ave. E., Olympia. Tickets are $34-$38. Call 360-786-0151, or go to www.harlequinproductions.org. But the passionate tango dancers of the annual Tango at the Fountain are keeping it going just until sunset. Well, there’s probably someone out there, but it’s not Jeannette Sieler, Lacey’s recreation supervisor. And because Sieler picks the films for the city’s Outdoor Cinema Series, Friday offers a rare opportunity to see the young Harrison Ford dashingly deal with Nazis and snakes on the big screen. “I saw that in a theater years ago, and I was on the edge of my seat,” Sieler said. “It’s so good and so action-packed.” Before the film, there’ll be a live version of the game show “Password.” The adventures begin at 7 p.m. in Huntamer Park, corner of Woodland Square Loop and Seventh Avenue, Lacey. It’s free. Call 360-491-0857, or go to www.ci.lacey.wa.us. Save it for Saturday. Although doesn’t it seem as though the Olympia pop-punk quartet should play only on Saturdays? The band is playing at 9 p.m. Friday at the Capitol Theater, 206 Fifth Ave. S.E., Olympia. Also on the lineup are the Midnight Therapy and the Occupation, a Seattle anthem-rock outfit that bills itself as the No. 1 “employer” of the fearless. Tickets are $7 at the door. Call 360-754-6670, or go to www.olympiafilmsociety.org. The women of surfing, from bodysurfer and geophysicist Judith Sheridan to Ashley Lloyd, who made her own board from vegetable-based Biofoam, are the focus of “Dear and Yonder.” The new documentary film also looks back at the history of women’s surfing and includes original music and independent tunes from the likes of the Magnetic Fields and Calexico. “We really wanted to expand what women’s surfing movies were portraying,” said filmmaker Tiffany Campbell. The film’s Washington premiere is at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at the Capitol Theater, 206 Fifth Ave. S.E., Olympia. Tickets are $5 at the door or at www.buyolympia.com. Call 360-754-6670, or go to www.olympiafilmsociety.org.
