United Way of Thurston County will provide $475,000 in grants each of the next two years to support 57 health and human service programs at 38 local nonprofit organizations, it was announced this afternoon.
Each funded program aligned with one of the agency’s four impact areas: Helping Kids Succeed, Meeting Basic Needs, Promoting Self-Sufficiency and Supporting Health and Wellness.
The grants were made possible from individual and corporate donations made during United Way’s 2007 campaign.
