An Olympia woman in her mid-20s received a minor wound to her arm after she was stabbed Saturday morning by an acquaintance, who still is at large, according to Lacey police.
The suspect is a male in his mid-20s and was last seen wearing blue jeans and a black hooded sweat shirt. He is about 5 feet 8 inches and was carrying a backpack, police said.
According to Sgt. Shannon Barnes:
The woman was waiting for a bus at Yelm Highway and College Street when she was approached by the man. She recognized him as a friend of a friend, and, without saying a word, he pulled out a pocket knife and stabbed her in the arm. The woman boarded the next bus, rode downtown and met a friend before calling police about 11:15 a.m. Her injury was not serious, Barnes said.
