The Auburn Police Department is investigating multiple shootings early Saturday morning. The three gunshot victims, one male and two females, are believed to be in their late teens or early twenties, and one of the woman is pregnant.
Two were transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle and the third is being treated at Auburn General Hospital.
Police and emergency medical personnel responded to the 1600 block of 33rd St. S.E. in Auburn after reports of shots being fired shortly after 1 a.m.
Officers saw two vehicles leaving the scene with their lights out. Police tried to stopped one of the vehicles but the driver kept going. After a short pursuit, police were able to maneuver and stop the fleeing vehicle and arrest the occupants. Police believe the people apprehended are involved in the shooting incident.
Firefighters from Valley Regional Fire Authority treated a man at the scene for multiple gunshot wounds who was later transported to Harborview.
No other victims were found at the scene at that time. Just before 2 a.m., Valley Regional Fire Authority emergency personnel were dispatched to a report of a pregnant woman with blood on her chest in the 600 block of Auburn Way South. Firefighters examined the woman and found she had sustained a gunshot wound to the chest. Firefighters and King County Medic One treated the patient at the scene and she was also transported to Harborview.
The fire department said both patients have serious injuries considered to be life-threatening. No futher information is available at this time on the third victim.
Both shooting incidents being investigated by the Auburn Police Department. Police did not provide details on how the incidents are related.
