Sheriff's deputies are investigating the death of a school district employee and the school district's superintendent has been placed on administrative leave.
The Herald of Everett reports that Darrington school district superintendent Larry Johnson was put on leave after the weekend death of 46-year-old Myra Lewis, the district's business manager.
The Snohomish County sheriff's office says they are investigating the death of a school district employee as a possible drug overdose.
The school district did not give a reason to why Johnson would request a leave, or the apparent connection to Lewis' death.
