A Pierce County man who's home was burgled got a bit of revenge Thursday night when he purchased one of the stolen items from two people, then flagged down Tacoma police officers to have the sellers arrested.
The man was a victim of a burglary earlier in the week in Pierce County.
Shortly before 9 p.m. Thursday, he met a man and woman in the parking lot on Tacoma Mall Boulevard to buy a nail gun he'd seen for sale on Craigslist, Tacoma police reported. The man believed the gun had been taken during the burglary.
The man bought the nail gun, then told the man and woman he wanted to buy more of the items they had for sale, police reported.
The man told the two he needed to get more money from a cash machine and left. Instead, he flagged down Tacoma police officers.
The officers responded to the suspects' location, found more stolen property and arrested the man and woman on suspicion of second-degree possession of stolen property, police reported.
