SEATTLE - The aunt of a 25-year-old Seattle woman burned in a New Year's attack in Puerto Rico says her niece's fiance has died.
Patrice Moore says she learned of Jesus Sanchez's death Tuesday night in a call from her sister, Michelle Donahue, who is at the hospital in San Juan where her daughter Kate Donahue, Donahue's fiance, and other injured members of Sanchez's family were being treated.
Moore spoke to The Associated Press by phone from her home in Santa Rosa, Calif.
Moore says the family hopes to move Donahue, who is critically burned, to Miami, ideally within the next 24 hours.
Jesus Sanchez is the fourth person to die after the attack in which police say Sanchez's uncle used kerosene and a propane tank to set fire to more than a dozen of his family members as they sat down for dinner.
Four others, including Donahue, remain hospitalized.
