One of the people killed in the Tucson shooting was a former resident of Sequim (skwim).
The Peninsula Daily News reports 76-year-old Dorwan Stoddard lived on the Olympic Peninsula in the late 1980s and early 1990s. He was known at the Faith Baptist Church in Sequim as a Mr. Fixit who was always willing to volunteer.
He was killed Saturday protecting his wife Mavy, who was shot in the let three times. One of his son's, Ron Stoddard, lives near Sequim and headed to Tucson for funeral services.
