Detectives with the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the death of a man after a fire at his trailer in the 3800 block of Boston Harbor Road.
The fire started after 11 p.m. Monday and ruptured a propane tank inside the trailer where the man lived, according to Thurston County Sheriff’s Lt. Greg Elwin.
There is no indication that the fire's origins are suspicious or that it was intentionally set, Elwin said. But the amount of damage to the trailer is making it difficult to determine the cause, he added.
Thurston County Coroner Gary Warnock said an autopsy was being conducted this afternoon. The coroner’s office will attempt to identify the man from his dental records, Warnock added.

Elwin said the man who lived at the trailer was 50 years old.
