A man is dead after a domestic violence incident in Lakewood in which police fired shots.
Lt. Chris Lawler says officers were called about 10 p.m. Tuesday to a home where a woman had been assaulted. A short time later a man suspected in the assault drove up, and police heard a shot from inside the car.
KIRO-TV reports police couldn't see because of tinted windows, so a tacticl team broke a window and approached. An officer apparently saw movement and fired.
The man was found dead with a gunshot wound to his head. It's unknown if the wound was caused by police or self-inflicted.
The woman was treated at a hospital for her injuries.
