Not guilty pleas were entered today on behalf of a 56-year-old man accused of causing a car crash that killed a Pierce County grandfather.
Court Commissioner Patrick Oishi ordered Dana C. Boyer jailed in lieu of $100,000 bail.
Boyer is charged with vehicular homicide and vehicular assault in connection with a Nov. 11 collision on the Alder Cutoff Road near Mountain Highway that left Bruce Cromoga, 61, dead and his grandson injured.
Boyer's pickup crossed the center line and slammed into Cromoga's vehicle. Boyer's blood-alcohol level was .14 four hours after the crash, court records show. The legal limit in Washington is.08.
