Kennewick Remains found last month in Duffy's Pond in Kennewick have been identified as being Rodney Lynn Pipes of Kennewick.
Pipes was 47 at the time he disappeared, said Benton County Coroner John Hansens.
He was reported missing by his family on Oct. 29, 2008, and at the time of his disappearance, he was reported to be wearing cowboy boots and other clothes similar to those recovered. The death has been ruled a suicide.
Pipes lived at West Entiat Avenue, which is near Duffy’s Pond on Clover Island.
Pipes’ identification was confirmed Tuesday morning by Kennewick dentist Dr. Michael Shannon, who is specially trained in forensic dentistry.
His confirmation matches the information developed by Dr. Jeffery Reynolds, a forensic pathologist from Yakima, who conducted the original autopsy.
