A double-murder and suicide reportedly occurred about 9:15 p.m. Tuesday in the 300 block of Frost Road, outside of Winlock on the east side of Interstate 5, according to the Lewis County Sheriff's Office.
The deceased include an 18-year-old male, a 65-year-old female and a 57-year-old male. All three apparently died from gunshot wounds, the sheriff’s office says.
“It appears there was no forced entry into the home and the deaths are the result of a double-murder-suicide,” Sheriff’s Chief Deputy Stacy Brown said.
Three dogs and a cat were also found dead at the residence.
The sheriff’s office said the investigation is ongoing; autopsies will be conducted Friday.
The Washington State Patrol Total Station Team is assisting the investigation.
