A Kennewick man has been fined $11,345 for poaching a trophy-size bull elk in the Blue Mountains of Columbia County.Jason Locke, 37, pleaded guilty in Columbia County District Court.
Two other men, David Myles, 50, of Richland, and Brian Badgwell, 40, of Pomeroy, pleaded guilty earlier to unlawfully transporting the elk.
The Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife received a tip in October that Locke had killed two bull elk and illegally used his wife's permit tag to claim one of them.
Locke also faces charges in Benton and Chelan county district courts.

He is accused of guiding commercial steelhead trips on the Columbia River without a license and making a false report to Fish and Wildlife. Each carries a fine that can exceed $2,000.
He also is accused of three counts of unlawful big game hunting and one charge of unlawful transportation of wildlife in Chelan County.
Those charges carry fines of up to $6,000, including $4,000 for allegedly shooting a trophy-size buck deer.
