BELLEVUE, Wash. - Bellevue police have arrested a man in connection with a Friday night hit-and-run crash that killed a 77-year-old pedestrian.
The man was arrested Saturday after a Bellevue resident told investigators he had seen a car similar to the one they were seeking, parked in front of a nearby home.
While investigators were looking at a car in front of that home, the owner came out and immediately confessed. Police say he told them he was scared and drove off after hitting the woman.
The 45-year-old man has been arrested and booked into King County Jail. His name has not been released, pending charges.
