A federal judge has been asked to unseal documents that led to the arrest of a suspect in the attempted bombing of the Martin Luther King Jr. Day parade in Spokane.
Television station KXLY of Spokane filed a motion Wednesday asking that probable cause affidavits naming Kevin Harpham as a suspect be released to the public.
Prosecutors have indicated that their investigation is on-going and that releasing information that led to the arrest of the 36-year-old Harpham could lead to the destruction of evidence. But KXLY argued that with Harpham in jail, he is no position to destroy evidence.
The bomb was disabled before it could explode.
