An armed bank robbery suspect shot pepper spray inside a Grandview bank before escaping with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.
The robbery occurred at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the Key Bank branch on East Second Street.
Witnesses say a man entered the bank armed with a weapon and demanded cash from the tellers, police said. Four employees and one customer were inside during the robbery.
He then sprayed the bank with pepper spray, police said.

Grandview Fire and Aid crews treated all the victims on scene who were exposed to the pepper spray.
A K-9 unit from Prosser police attempted to track the suspect, but was unable to locate him, police said. Deputies from the Yakima County and Benton County sheriff's offices also searched for the robber.
The case has been referred to the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Anyone in the area around the time of the robbery is asked to call Grandview police at 509-882-2000.
