A 14-year-old boy was shot Saturday night at the Renton Transit Center, and a search is under way for the shooter.
Renton Police received a call at 10:13 p.m. about shots fired at the transit center, 219 Burnett Ave. S., in downtown Renton. The victim was found nearby. Police say he suffered gunshot wounds, but his injuries are not considered life threatening.
"The suspect was described as a young African-American male, associated with a dark-colored Jeep. Although the exact motive is unknown, this shooting does not appear to be random," Renton Police said in a news release.
