BELLINGHAM, Wash. - The FAA says a plane that took off Wednesday from Bellingham on a flight to Ketchikan, Alaska, crashed in British Columbia.
FAA spokesman Mike Fergus told The Bellingham Herald searchers found the pilot dead in the crash 32 miles northwest of Campbell River.
He was the only person on the plane. His name has not yet been released. The single-engine Cessna 195 was registered in Delaware.
The case is being handled by Royal Canadian Mounted Police in Sayward, British Columbia.
