The Boeing Co. is slated to announce its second-quarter financial results July 28.
Wall Street analysts on average predict the company will report a $1.04 per-share profit for the second quarter. That’s down from last year’s second-quarter results of $1.41 a share. Boeing’s first-half production fell this year as the company halted production of its 747-400. It is replacing that jet in its lineup with the 747-8.
The first 747-8 is expected to be delivered to customers late this year. The plane and another new Boeing airliner, the 787, are undergoing testing now. The first 787 is due for delivery to All Nippon Airways in late November or December.
