Portland International Airport is the nation's top quality airport, a new Zagat survey says.
Portland’s airport earned a score of 22.47 points out of 30 possible in a Zagat survey of some 8,000 travelers and travel professionals.
Seattle-Tacoma International Airport was ranked 13th of the 30 largest domestic airports in that same survey. Sea-Tac scored 16.08 points.
At the bottom of the survey ranking was New York’s LaGuardia Airport with a 6.18 score.
Miami was 29th on the survey, and Los Angeles International Airport was 28th. Second to Portland was Tampa, and earning a third-place finish was Salt Lake City.
In general, smaller, less-crowded airports earned higher scores than mega hubs such as Newark, Chicago O’Hare and Atlanta.
