Governor House Hotel LLC, the company that owns and operates downtown Olympia's Governor Hotel, has been sued in Thurston County Superior Court for unpaid loans totaling about $3 million, court records show.
Although a legal complaint was filed last month, it is not as serious as it appears, Governor Hotel general manager Sandra Miller said Tuesday. The suit was filed by investors wanting to secure debt owed to them and to protect their investment, she said. The plaintiff in the case is John Y. Lee of New Jersey, president of Intercontinental Investments. An attorney for the plaintiff could not be reached Tuesday.
“The operations of the hotel are fine,” Miller said, adding that business at the hotel has increased in the past three months. The hotel is at 621 S. Capitol Way.
