The first offspring of Fife's well-loved (there are always people standing in line) Pick-Quick Drive In will open in Auburn on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at 1132 Auburn Way N.
To note the 1949 birth of the family-owned enterprise, the first 49 customers will receive a logo-emblazoned tumbler.
The new restaurant features 28 seats in the dining room and seven indoor bar chairs, a drive-thru window and an additional 44 picnic table seats and eight children’s picnic table seats outdoors.
The original Fife outlet features no dining room or indoor bar seats and no drive-thru window, although there are picnic tables outdoors among a vast array of geraniums and other warmer-weather flowers. In a news release Thursday, Gerard Centioli, president and CEO of Pick-Quick Development Company LLC, said, “We are honored to have the opportunity to introduce Auburn to the quick-service dining experience people have been enjoying in Fife since 1949.”
Never miss a local story.
Following its Tuesday opening, the Auburn Pick-Quick will be open regularly, with hours of operation on Sunday through Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.
