Alpine Ductless of Olympia, an HVAC contractor that specializes in installing ductless heat pumps, has installed its 1,000th unit, the business announced in a news release.
Alpine was formed in March 2012 by Cory Eckert and Mike Meisenheimer after they recognized that ductless heat pumps were one of the most efficient and effective ways to heat and cool. The ductless heat pump already is common in Asia and Europe.
The business installed nearly 500 ductless heat pumps in 2014, according to the news release.
Alpine, which currently serves Thurston, Mason, Pierce and Kitsap counties, also recently expanded its service area to south King County and Seattle.
