YWCA of Olympia will hold a Racial Justice Summit 9 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Saturday at South Puget Sound Community College in Olympia.
The event “will provide a point of engagement for everyone,” YWCA racial justice director Lanessa Inman said.
The event is for “those who want to listen or dialogue about race and racism for the first time, to seasoned allies and activists who have long been involved in racial justice,” Inman said in a news release.
The event will feature workshops and a panel discussion. Award-winning poet, community organizer and Seattle mayoral candidate Nikkita Oliver will be the keynote speaker.
