Police in Hoquiam have arrested a 31-year-old woman in connection with the stabbing death of a 95-year-old man.
Police responded to the man’s home on the 400 block of Center Street at about noon Sunday. The man’s daughter and a friend had come to check on him after he did not answer the phone. They reported finding him and seeing signs of forced entry.
The Grays Harbor County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Robert Harmon. The cause of death was stab wounds to the head and neck and blunt force injury to the head, according to the coroner's office.
Police say the suspect is a neighbor who may have recently stolen checks from Harmon and attempted to cash them. She was to be booked into the Grays Harbor County Jail on murder charges, according to police.
