Five people had to be rescued early Friday morning after they were stranded on the Nisqually River near Yelm.
The Thurston County Sheriff’s Office said a dive team rescued the two adults and three juveniles at about 2:30 a.m. The people were tubing on the river Thursday night when they fell off their tubes and were stranded on a sandbar, said Sgt. Carla Carter of the sheriff’s office.
No one was injured, according to Carter.
