A horse named Flower had to be rescued after it got stuck in a creek bed Thursday, Lewis County Fire District 6 wrote on Facebook.
Crews responded Thursday night to the 200 block of Macomber Road south of Chehalis. A neighbor had found the horse stuck sideways in a creek bed with water up to its knees.
Lewis County Sheriff’s officials, firefighters and a veterinarian worked to free Flower.
Firefighters report Flower had scratches but no major injuries and that the horse’s owners were out of town.
