A didgeridoo is an ancient tribal wind instrument from northern Australia.
But modern ones can be made with a variety of materials. The Yelm Timberland Library is holding a program for adults and teens on making a didgeridoo from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday at Yelm Timberland Library, 210 Prairie Park St.

Zine Fest 2017: The three-day event kicks off with a free Zine-athon at the Olympia Timberland Library, where participants can use the library’s supplies to create a zine, swap with other zine-makers, and partake in an open mic-style zine reading from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the library, 313 Eighth Ave. SE. Book sale: The Friends of the Olympia Timberland Library will hold a Giant Book Sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the library, 313 Eighth Ave. SE. Proceeds help support programs and services not covered in the library's regular budget. Information: 360-352-0595.
Clean up event: The annual Clean-up Drop-off event will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m at Tumwater City Hall, 555 Israel Road. Discard medications, shred documents, donate items to Goodwill, donate building materials and gently used appliances to Habitat for Humanity and recycle electronics. The Thurston County Food Bank, the Tumwater TImberland Regional Library, the Salvation Army and the YWCA’s Other Bank are also taking donations at the event. Free.
