City crews will be working to improve drainage around the artesian well in downtown Olympia starting Monday.
Right now water collects around the drain and people walking by track it through the Artesian Commons, said Gary Franks, the city’s parks maintenance manager.
The well and area around it will be fenced off during construction, but well water will be rerouted and accessible at all times.
The Artesian Commons will remain open, but some parking spots near the well will be blocked.
Never miss a local story.
The work is expected to be done by Friday.
