Judy Hamilton of Yakima and her granddaughter, Amelia Hamilton of Atlanta, look at "Dignity in Labor", a repurposed metal sculpture by artist John Vanek on display along the Percival Landing boardwalk in downtown Olympia on Thursday, Aug. 8, 2014. The artwork is one of 13 sculptures in the Percival Plinth Project, which for the past four summers has hosted a new selection of loaned sculptures by regional artists. The community is encouraged to vote on their favorite, with the winning sculpture being purchased by the City of Olympia for permanent display. In-person voting at the artworks continues through August 31. More information about the project and the participating artists is available at http://olympiawa.gov/plinth.
