Six buses are on order for Twin Transit, the public bus system of Centralia and Chehalis, funded by what Twin Transit manager Ernie Graichen calls "a multiple of sources."
Stimulus from the Federal Transit Administration is the bulk of the grant, with about $770,000 to replace buses in December. The money covers the expense of five buses and a 30-foot coach bus that will take 18 months to build. The rest of the cost – $146,000 – will come out of Twin Transit’s budget, Graichen said.
