Hyer takes leave from city

Hyer takes leave from city Olympia Mayor Pro Tem Joe Hyer announced Friday that he's taking a leave of absence from the City Council, a day after his drug-related arrest put his chances of becoming the next Thurston County treasurer in doubt.
