Milton police have arrested a man and woman in connection with two pharmacy robberies in recent weeks.
Both robberies occurred at the Albertsons pharmacy, 2800 Milton Way. In the first robbery on June 26, the man demanded “oxy” – the street name of Oxy-Contin – from the pharmacy and threatened to shoot the pharmacist, police reported.
The second robbery occurred Sunday when a woman went to the pharmacy and demanded “oxy.” She too threatened to shoot the pharmacist, police reported.
Police arrested the man Wednesday evening and booked him into jail on suspicion of two counts of first-degree robbery. The woman was arrested early Thursday and booked into the jail on suspicion of one count of first-degree robbery.
Investigators were looking into whether the pair was connected to other pharmacy robberies in King and Pierce counties.
